WELCOME TO WAHAT AL FARAH Wahat al Farah \u2013 Supporting Individuals with Disabilities Since 1987 Wahat al Farah is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving individuals with special needs and Autism Spectrum Disorders since 1987. Founded by His Eminence Metropolitan Elias Kurban, Archbishop of Tripoli and Al-Koura, the organization was established to meet the urgent need for specialized care in the region. Today, the project is led by Metropolitan Archbishop Ephrem Kyriakos, with the support of a dedicated Wahat al Farah committee. Mission & Vision Our mission at Wahat al Farah is to provide educational, vocational, and psycho-social programs designed to help individuals of all ages reach their full potential and lead fulfilling lives. We aim to promote inclusion by equipping people with special needs with the skills necessary for greater independence and social integration. Contact us today to learn more about our programs.\u00a0 Special School Workshop Waha Farm Waha Garden Dental Clinic \u00a0 Wahat al Farah School \u2013 Specialized Education for Children with Special Needs Wahat al Farah School warmly welcomes children with special needs aged 4-14, providing a supportive learning environment tailored to their individual abilities. Our team of specialized educators, therapists, and social workers is dedicated to helping students develop their skills and integrate socially. We also emphasize ongoing training for our staff and encourage parental collaboration to ensure the best outcomes for each child. A Milestone Achievement: Our Special Education School After a year and a half of dedicated efforts, the construction of a\u00a0school for children with special needs (ages 4-15) at Wahat al Farah is complete. This significant achievement was made possible through:\u00a0 Generous land donation by the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Tripoli, Al-Koura, and its Dependencies in Bakfeteen, Al-Koura\u00a0 Funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)\u00a0 Partnership with the OrientHelfer Association A Modern Learning Environment for Special Education Our new school is equipped with advanced educational technologies and specialized programs, overseen by expert educators and therapists to provide children with the best learning experience. Thanks to the generous support of the Federal Republic of Germany, including the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the German Association “Friends of the Christians in Lebanon,” these workshops were established in 1998 and 2005. We also welcome trainees and volunteers from diverse academic backgrounds to participate and contribute. The farm offers a variety of therapeutic and educational activities, with a special focus on animal-assisted pedagogy, known for its profound benefits for individuals with special needs. A Farm with a Purpose Wahat Al Farah’s Farm is open to the public and the local Syrian refugee community, serving as a hub for inclusion, employment, and sustainability.
